Midnight City, also called Midnight Rooftop or Under Construction Building, is a location and fighting arena that appears in Bloody Roar 3,  Bloody Roar: Primal Fury and Bloody Roar 4.

BR3 Midnight Icon

Midnight City is a very large arena represented by a square roof at the top of a building and surrounded by heavy barriers. We can see the rest of the city at night surrounding the stage with skyscrapers, lights and antennas.

At the center of the stage, we found glass tiles illuminating bright light.

Bloody Roar: Primal Fury[]

Description[]

The stage is referred to as Midnight Rooftop.

As the previous version of the stage, the large arena is a square roof at the top of a building and we can see the rest of the city at night surrounding the stage with skyscrapers, lights and antennas. There is some animation here and there like an elevator moving behind windows in one of the closest building.

This time the glass tiles in the middle let see the building interior and the surrounding city have more details like a billboard saying BREX.

Bloody Roar 4[]

Description[]

The stage is referred to as Stage 5 or Under Construction Building on the soundtrack.

As the previous version of the stage, the arena is a square roof at the top of a building and we can see the rest of the city at night surrounding the stage with skyscrapers, lights and antennas. There is some animation here and there like an elevator moving behind windows in one of the closest building.

Like most of the Bloody Roar 4, there is no visible barriers this time the arena is limited by glass tiles (showing the building interior) and danger warnings. In one of the sides of the arena, there is a pit.

The arena is also way smaller than the previous version of it.

The introduction of the stage shows a red full moon.

Trivia[]

  • During an interview [1], Fukuya shared that, in Bloody Roar 3, the Midnight City stage should have been a multiple floors stage. The idea was scraped due to "various reasons" despite the bottom floor being already created. He shared the opportunity to complete it in the next game but none of the next versions of the stage had multiple floors.
